I guess it’s just happy everything day <3 I’m going to throw this blog post up quickly while the husband is out walking our Rosie (thechicagobrowndog, no that’s really a breed 😉 )
We sure do love her. Took her up and got her a bath today, new collar, new toy. We do love our doogie <3 Very special dog !!!! Now I’ll get back to the blog.
It’s been a really great holiday weekend…Family, food and fun which is always a great way to start out the summer…Y A Y Must add some music for today…Let’s Rock n Roll !!!! This one’s for my Connor…Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap !!!!
We spent Saturday running errands for our get together with our daughter and her family, her Guy, Cordell and his mom GiGi and of course the granddaughters !!! Everyone is just growing up so fast. Here are some pics of the family <3 We love you all to the moon and me and GiGi dressed the same right down to our jewelry and we didn’t even coordinate it that way. We are truly one brain 😉 .
The food was amazing…We did the BBQ with out of this world grill packets filled with all sort of yummy food. Shrimp, Chicken, potatoes, veggies…So good and Mr. Cordell did an amazing job on the grill !!!!
I brought some side dishes …Apple Snicker Salad and Baked Beans along with the Small Cakes for dessert…
Time to get my summer on because before you know it, it’s 4th of July and the summer is over Mr. Nightlinger 😉 Three birthdays, Matthew/June, Connor/July, Me, Lizzie, & Missy/August and throw in an anniversary and the summer just flies by. Add a vaca somewhere, not quite sure where yet, but yes I think the summer really is over.

I have wasted all morning on the computer, so I might as well post something. I’m thinking I’m going to get my summer on with some road trip music first !!! I’ll start out with something for Connor <3 this one’s for you !!!

Happy Monday fellow blogger’s. I hope everyone had a great weekend. They do go by so fast though. Mine was really busy which is a good thing and the weather was really good !!!
Monday’s Masterpiece will always be the featured picture of the blog post, unless I change it. In that case, I will let you know… 😉 Today’s Monday’s Masterpiece is one of my favorites. The Artist (Husband) painted this one for me and had it framed. It is hanging in my Kitchen and I just love it. The title of it is, “Basket of Apples”.

One more picture to share. I found the cousin picture that I was looking for. I did a post on St. Patrick’s Day of the 1st Cousin’s picture, then I found the later one where we are older <3 There were a lot of us…
I am one of four sister’s…We are on the end, stage left. Sister Liz is in the green dress, I’m down in front of Sister Liz, with my hand in my mouth…Sister Kay is to the left of me and Mary the oldest Sister has her hand around Sister Kay’s shoulder. We were close in age, only 4 years separating all of us from oldest Mary, to the youngest me…Let’s just say, high school was interesting for our dad.
It was kind of fun this weekend b/c we were all trying to figure out who was who and what year it was. Kind of a, “Where’s Waldo,” game… The years do fly by. I’m in the middle with the pig tails and red/white/blue striped shirt and the girl directly in back of me is my oldest sister Mary, and the one right next to Mary (stage right) is my older sister Liz. Another one of my sister’s is all the way on the end (stage left) I guess you might think I was a theater mom 😉 and you’d be right. Kay was all in blue with kind of a wonky look on her face. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t smiling. When the cousin’s get together, we all talk about this picture and how glad we were that Aunt Patti made us take the picture..Two more cousins were born after the picture but we never got another one taken with all the cousins.
This week looks to be warmer and wetter and then maybe even some snow… I really hate March but I’ll take the couple of warmer days. At least we are getting closer to April <3 . I’m going to be setting up my new planner which I don’t have a name for her yet. I’ll probably be posting a lot about that. Also I am working on getting our site for #Elan Creations up and running again, definitely stay tuned for that.

There’s something about Singing, Sun & Spring when you are driving in the car. This morning took the hus <3 to the train this morning and other than having to get up early it was a great way to start this beautius day !!!
After dropping him off and watching him walk away (I love watching him walk away, he’s just a very cool guy after all these years (45 years to be exact)… I leave him to go do his job in Chicago, thankful that he still has a really good job and I go to Starbuck’s to get my day going <3 I always think how very lucky and thankful I am for our life. We are both really living the dream. Healthy living in the greatest country in the world, and the winter is almost over. Once we get through March, oh how I hate March. Such a schizophrenic month, can’t decide which one it is. March can be lovely when you actually feel the sun’s warmth (usually it’s not in Chicago) or it’s snowing which it’s suppose to this weekend.
I love listening to the radio and singing when I’m driving. Hoping it’s going to be a good day, one of my favorite songs come on…Jackson Browne’s “Running on Empty!!!” A great song in the car, immediately I turn it up L O U D and start singing. Yes it’s going to be a great day 😉 …
After singing that song, I started remembering songs from my past. Another song I just love, love, love is “Turn the Page” Bob Seger… The husband sings that one and I remember why I fell in love with him.
Love posting pics of the fam…Looking forward to the weekend <3 Hopefully it won’t snow too much, but like I said before it’s March in Chicago…Happy Thursday <3 It’s all about the family…I am Blessed and for that I will always be thankful for memories of being a mom <3 .
