Didn’t have a great editorial calendar for this year’s challenge but I figure I get a pass b/c I am just trying to get my site back up an running.
Today’s letter is ‘L’ so I’m going to go with that … I know it’s really ‘M’ but I’ll get to that but first let’s do ‘L’ …
This is a great cake for Spring and Easter…Enjoy <3
I’m a couple of days late…But it’s better late, well you know 🙂 Long story short, I kind of crashed my my site so I’m feeling a bit wonky. Then my IT guy is not available when I thought he would be and I guess I’m going to have to figure this out, sooooo stay tuned. It out to be fun 😉
Today is the beginning of a challenge that I started way back when I first started blogging. Looking around for all of my deleted widgets OMG. I’m just trying to find everything. I guess I’ll be starting from scratch but at least I’m starting !! I’d hoped to have my blog’s new look up and running but not so much. I just have to get busy with AtoZ as we are already on the letter ” D ” OMG…
I started this blog with the idea of writing my cookbook.I amstill moving in that direction and AtoZ will keep me focused. I am doing R E C I P E S from the family vault…Not really, but family favorites from Scarlett79.
I’m just going to start with the letter” C “…Below is my recipe for “Chicken Tortilla Soup.” It is a basic recipeand you can add pretty much anything you want to make it your own. This recipe proved to be a good one for Sunday Afternoon’s with a houseful of guest watching a sporting event. Makes for good leftovers for the week too 😉 ..
Let’s just hope this gets a little bit easier as I go and I get back into the groove. I do so enjoy A to Z…Any comments that can help me to get this back to the way it was are welcome. But I’m here for the duration of April. Enjoy the recipes 😉 Love ya Blogger’s and AtoZ’ers…
Going over to the daughter’s home for dinner !!! On the menu for today are grilled foiled bags with shrimp, chicken and all kinds of other yummy stuff. I’m bringing Baked Beans, Snicker Apple Salad, and a quick trip on the way to small cakes for dessert…I’m getting hungry 😉
Let’s get some music going, pre-memorial day weekend…Y A Y for the summer…This one’s for you Connie <3 Still remembering you dancing w/Joffrey in Chicago to this song 😉 . Never, never forget the good times
Happy Tuesday blogger’s…I have been meaning to jump on and write a blog but have just been so busy, busy, busy. I can’t believe I have all my flower’s planted, I made a wildflower butterfly/hummingbird garden out back and it’s not even memorial day. Y A Y for me and the husband !!!! I’ll be spending a lot of time out back here, very peaceful <3 . We also bought a brand new, spanking charbroil grill this year, double Y A Y…It’s been a while since I’ve had one of those and I am so excited. I’ve already used it twice and we have only had it 2 days 😉 .
This is my Butterfly/Hummingbird/Wildflower garden…Isn’t is just beautius !!!! I still need to get a bird house and a humming bird feeder in there. I just love it though.
Here is the front of our home. This is where my roses are. I planted them a couple of years ago and they are just doing fantastic even though the bunnies destroyed they over the winter months…
Finally a look at our new Car-broil grill…It’s really beautiful and I am so excited to put it to use. Absolutely one of may favorite things to do…BBQ in the summer !!! Happy Summer to all. It’s going to be great <3 . I hope yours will too <3 .
I can’t believe I haven’t posted since last week. Just big blogging goal’s, I was even working on my editorial calendar (which is still a work in progress 😉 ) . It’s just gotten very busy around here all of the sudden like and I really haven’t had the time to blog. I’m busy with my spring cleaning, and I was so hoping I would have it all done by Memorial Day but that sure doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
My Spring Cleaning has really turned into a new thing. Instead of cleaning, (which I’m not that fond of anymore, been there, done that) it’s turned into Spring Buying 😉 and Spring throwing away 🙂 … Shhh let’s keep the husband out of that. Let’s just say that my Target trips are my new workout 😉 . Don’t laugh, it’s a lot of working walking and buying and carrying it to the car, unloading, yadayadayada !!! But the house is really coming together. It’s fresh and new. I’ve been taking before and after pics and I’ll try posting them when I’m all done.
My absolutely fav of all are the new shelves in the kitchen…
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to come up with this idea. I just love, love, love my kitchen. What motivated me was the spring cleaning thing and the new book I was reading this month…I have really been on a reading kick this year. I have already read 4 books this year. Which is a really great thing. The first book I read, our Connor and his wife Missy bought me this one, “Where the Crawdads Sing.”
Aren’t they just such an adorable couple…Love them to the moon <3 One of my favorite pics of them on their Wedding Day <3 .
Then I went on with the next 3. I’m thinking the Cookbook Club spurred me on to get the shelf thing going in my kitchen. One thing led to another and I’m back doing something I absolutely love, love, love to do…Cooking and Baking, who knew.
The daughter came over on Mother’s Day and she just had to do the same thing, so me and her dad were over at her house last weekend. Got to do another run to Target and the husband was busy assembling them at her house. She’s having the same fun I’m having b/c of course I had to get her the Instapot for her Mother’s Day gift to go on the shelves, right 😉 … Here how her shelves are progressing <3 Absolutely loving this !!!
