Happy Song Lyric Sunday

I am going to try to get through this w/o screaming. I’m not really crazy about all of the changes with WordPress, but what ever. Today’s prompt for Song Lyric Sunday comes once again from Mr. Jim. The prompt is Hold/Pause/Stop/Wait. I’m going to go with, ” Hold “. Using the song from the movie, “Bridesmaids.” The song is, “Hold On by Wilson Phillips.” The movie is just too funny. I might just even watch it again.

Hold On

I know there’s pain
Why do you lock yourself up in these chains?
No one can change your life except for you
Don’t ever let anyone step all over you
Just open your heart and your mind
Is it really fair to feel this way inside? Some day somebody’s gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye
Until then baby are you going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know things can change
Things’ll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
Can you hold on for one more day
Things’ll go your way
Hold on for one more dayYou could sustain
Or are you comfortable with the pain?
You’ve got no one to blame for your unhappiness
You got yourself into your own mess
Lettin’ your worries pass you by
Don’t you think it’s worth your time
To change…

Have fun with the song, Happy Song Lyric Sunday, Happy Fall <3

Happy Sunday

The weather has been spectacular this weekend so I just decided to go for a walk and collect all of the fall colors that my little camera could hold. These grand trees line my street with so many beautiful colors that follow me when I walk. All of the different color that surrounds me, keeps me warm. It’s a safe, cerebral kind of feeling. Peace I usually do a round trip up one side, down the other….It amazes me how everything looks totally different from a different angle !!!!

Walking with the Trees

This was one of the first trees I passed. Loving the color…

These beautiful trees line my street

I am going to show some the trees right across from the house…I see them everyday and it’s comforting, It’s Home <3

Share your World

I’m loving this challenge, as it has always been one of the fav’s !!! Thanks so much Mz. Melanie <3 love, love, love the questions …Happy Thursday;)

When was the last time you tried something new?

That would be right now b/c I guess blogging on this N E W version of wordpress comes under that category. It’s kind of a process and it’s just going to take some time…Blog, Add, Edit, Repeat…yadayadayada.   How did that go for you? I think it will be fine once I get use to it 🙂

What’s the most sensible thing you’ve ever heard someone say?

If your absence doesn’t affect them, your presence never mattered …

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

I’m thinking I would be around mid 40’s…For some reason that time in my life was easy, hopeful.

Lastly, I’ll be doing one “Halloween” themed question per week during October.  Those who don’t observe the holiday are welcome to answer or to ignore it as they wish.

Fun  CREEPY Halloween Question:

Have you ever seen a ‘fresh’ corpse (aka dead body)?

I’m pretty sure that would be a great big N O …

GRATITUDE SECTION (always optional)

Do you enjoy any seasonal traditions around this time of year? It’s not really a tradition, more like a changing of the seasons. I put away summer, i.e. clean out the garage, throw stuff away, clean up the yard. Take out the fall decorations and color. Inside is cozy, i.e. blankets, tea pot on the kitchen counter w/fall tea cups of course. Fireplace getting ready for some warm fires to snuggle by with a good book, cup of tea, and my pillows and blanket. Favorite season of all that would be fall. “I’m so happy I live in a world where there are October’s. 🙂 “

Wednesday’s Words

Happy Wednesday everyone 😉 I hope all are well and getting through this madness. No worries, I’m pretty sure we will be over it sometime around November 4th … Just a guess 😉 … Yesterday I put the finishing touches on my writing space. I love it <3 !!! My Featured Picture is the finished product. As I said before I absolutely love it. It brings me such joy whenever I walk into my room and see it and sit down, “In my own little corner, in my own little chair and I can be whatever I want to be <3 !!!” Yes I know, it’s a bit wonky but it brings a smile as I remember this from way back in the day, when life was easy. Anything that can make you happy and bring you joy, do that !!!! Blessings Blogger’s <3 . Don’t forget to check out the widget on my header in the blog. I updated it, that was pretty challenging but really worth it. I don’t know how I even did it. Whatever, 😉 it looks good <3 . My people <3 .

I can be whatever I want to be <3

Happy Song Lyric Sunday

Today’s prompt is, “No Rules.” Which I have to start out with a comment addressing someone who had to be snarky about our President who is fighting his own battle against this Plague. Unfortunately someone thinks that by following the, “Rules, i.e. I suppose wearing a face mask, blah, blah, and triple blah you are safe from this horrible virus.” Actually you are not. No matter what you do you can minimize the risk I suppose, but if this should tell you anything is that we are all at risk. Him as the President, I am quite sure they took every precaution to keep him safe from this virus, but the hater’s out there seem to think that if only he would have worn a mask then he would not have contracted the virus. N O T !!! He is our President and people should really check themselves...My mom is a retired Infection Control Nurse, the daughter is a nurse on the Covid floor at a local hospital and my sister is also a nurse. You don’t understand how virus’s work. If they did, we would have a cure for the common cold which this virus is part of only on a more aggressive and dangerous level.

I have not worn a mask really at all. I don’t think I’m safer with a mask. I think the only people who should wear mask are the doctor’s and nurses or anyone who is in contact with infected people. Wash you hands, keep them away from your face, P E R I O D !!!! This virus is going to do what it is going to do and it is going to be over when it’s over and if anyone is responsible for the virus that would be China. I’m done with this virus, I’m so over it.

Now it’s time for my song for this Sunday…This is a song that always brings me and the husband to a great place. We sing it loud and dance it out. There are no worries when we listen to this song and if someone is down we just play it loud and proud and we forget about all our worries. He paints to this song and I plan listening to this song. Yes we are the Painter and the Planner. I think that’s kind of catchy 😉

Here’s the song…Promised Land by Elvis !!!! Enjoy

“Promised Land”

I left my home in Norfolk Virginia
California on my mind
I straddled that Greyhound
And rode into Raleigh
And on across Caroline

We had motor trouble that turn into a struggle
Halfway across Alabam’
And that hound broke down and left us all stranded
In downtown Birmingham

Right away I brought me a through train ticket
Ridin’ across Mississippi clean
And I was on that midnight flyer out of Birmingham
Smoking into New Orleans

Somebody help me get out of Louisiana
Just to help me get to Houston Town
There are people there who care a little about me
And they won’t let the poor boy down

Sure as you’re born brought me a silk suit
Put luggage in my hand
And I woke up high over Alberquerque
On a jet to the promised land

Working on a T-bone steak a la carte
Flying over to the golden state
Ah when the pilot told us in thirteen minutes
He would set us at the terminal gate

Swing low chariot come down easy
Taxi to the terminal zone
Cut your engines and cool your wings
And let me make it to the telephone

Los Angeles give me Norfolk Virginia
Tidewater four ten o nine
Tell the folks back home this is the promised land calling
And the poor boy is on the line

Working on a T-bone steak a la carte
Flying over to the golden state
Ah when the pilot told us in thirteen minutes
He would set us at the terminal gate

Swing low chariot come down easy
Taxi to the terminal zone
Cut your engines and cool your wings
And let me make it to the telephone

Los Angeles give me Norfolk Virginia
Tidewater four ten o nine
Tell the folks back home this is the promised land calling
And the poor boy is on the line

Happy Song Lyric Sunday and let’s have a great week !!! Blessings Blogger’s

Stream of Conciousness Saturday

OLD/NEW That is the prompt for today. Seems appropriate as I am trying to re-set my OLD blog. I did other things this past summer so my OLD blog went away. Now that we are heading into a NEW season, Fall, I want to start a NEW Blog but I’m finding it a bit challenging. When I left, things were a lot different on the OLD WordPress. Now everything seems different so setting up my NEW blog is going to be a challenge. The OLD WordPress was easier but maybe that’s okay. I’m always up for learning NEW things. NEW challenges are good and I don’t feel so OLD. I was very happy to see many of my OLD blogging buddies still around. OLD friends are the best friends. I’ll be working on my NEW Blog and I hope it doesn’t get too wonky. Should be fun. I’m still the Planner Girl and having so much fun with that. I’m also still the painterswife and he has been getting a lot of new painting’s done as he has been home with me since March 13th OMG. This is his latest painting

Will this ever end…Thank you for staying with me on this blogging journey. I’ll be posting the Artist’s paintings and my planner escapades. Life is good. Blessings Bloggers <3 . I forgot I’m suppose to tag and post this so I better get to it…

Thankful Thursday

Today I started a gratitude journal again !!! Being thankful can get you through anything. Loving your life can make for a very good day. In life you can suffer many losses, but if you can learn something from those losses then it wasn’t a total loss. I have lost many things, but I can honestly say everything that I’ve been through has taught me something and made me a better person. I love my life, I love my home, I’m a great mom and most of all I love my husband of 41 years. I truly am blessed <3 . I’m not perfect, but I’m pretty good and it’s all about loving yourself and God. I’m thankful for the grace that God has blessed me with. If at the the end of the day all you can say is, “Thank God, this day is over,” then that’s enough. I hope everyone had a great day…Blessings <3

My happy place…I love a world where there are October’s !!!

Song Lyric Sunday

Today I’m just going to jump back on and see where it goes…Anyone who knows me, knows that I love music and our relationship (whoever it is/was in my life) along the way has a song attached to it. So here’s is one for today w/the prompt for today is brother/sister. I never had a brother, I am one of four sister’s. The featured picture is an early one of us and the cousins. I believe the cousin picture still had a ways to go. Me and the sister’s were on the left. We were the four little girl’s and my sister was the one in the green dress. Yes we were Italian Catholics, need I say more 😉 . At one time we were all pretty close as my oldest sister was born in 55′ and I was the youngest born in 59’…I think there was a set of Irish twins in there too. My song for today is, “He’s My Brother <3 “

I’m just going to post this b/c I’m going to have to learn WordPress all over again. It’s changed a lot since I took a break from blogging so just bare with me. If you’re reading today’s blog and you know who you are, you’ll remember this song 😉 and how it applies to our relationship 😉 . Happy Song Lyric Sunday <3 .
