Share Your World…

These questions are brought to us this week by Melanie B Cee

  1. What do you think of best friends of the opposite sex?  Or to put it another way “Can men and women ever be platonic friends?  Doesn’t sex always get in the way?”  I think we can be just platonic, but I just don’t think we were meant to be.
  2. What is the greatest struggle you’ve overcome?  I have had 2 life changing struggles.  The first one was my car accident.  Traumatic Brain Injury (i.e. coma).  The accident happened on February 7, 1981 and the only thing I remember was waking up in the hospital with my sister (she’s a nurse) telling me I had been in a car accident and been in a coma since the accident.  It was March 21st, almost 2 months gone.  Left side was paralyzed.  I was only 21 a young married newlywed.  Had to rehab, but I was given the grace from god to push through and he restored my health.  The 2nd one was losing our 2nd son Sean Patrick on March 21st, 1984…I lost him in my 7th month of pregnancy from a neural tube abnormality, Anencephaly, so sad but he taught me so many lessons with his short life and made me an amazing mother ❤ …  God Blessed me with 3 more children, a daughter and 2 amazing son’s.  I always tell my daughter how important her life is b/c a baby had to give his life for her to be born.

  3. What is the darkest thought you’ve ever had?  I don’t really have dark thoughts.  I’m just don’t think about dark things.  Creeps me out too much 😉  I’m all about the light… What about the darkest thing you’ve done that you’ve never told anybody about?  Oh my teenage years were not so much dark as they were turbulent and that’s all I’m going to say about that. As I’m a mom and I’m not sure if the kiddos read this and I don’t think they should no about those things… (obviously you’ll be telling now if you choose to.  Telling might unburden you a little though.)
  4. and one ‘fun’ one because I realize those others were pretty deep)  I think one of the  fun things I have done lately is dance.  I love to dance and I took lessons and danced the Tango at a Dance Recital.
  5. What is your least favorite food?  I’m thinking melon’s.  Any kind i.e. Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Honeydew…yadayadaydayada

Share a thought, write a story or poem or share a meme about gratitude.  If you’d like to.  As with the other questions, this is optional.

There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it.  Surround yourself with the people who make you laugh, forget the bad and focus on the good.  Love the people who treat you right ❤ pray for the ones who don’t.  Life is too short to be anything but happy.  Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living…        ❤ …My Common Place Book ❤

  1. What a pretty picture of you! Thanks for sharing your interesting stories. Your gratitude answer is spot on. You don’t like melons? I don’t like cantaloupe but I love watermelon and honeydew.

    • Hi Mz. Janet…Thanks for stopping by. I got it out of my Common Place Book. The Dancing the Tango and getting all dressed up was so fun and totally out of my comfort zone. 2 of my boys are professional dancers so I figure if they can do it I should just at least go for it. Have a great week, Happy Tuesday and Blessing ❤ .

  2. Thanks much Mz. Scarlett for Sharing Your World. It’s brave to talk about those times and trials we face and you showed your courage with this post! Your gratitude segment was lovely too! ❤

    • Hi Mz. Melanie B Cee…So glad you could stop by. Always love your questions !!! Hope all is good in your corner of the blogosphere ❤ Looking forward to next week's challenge ❤
