Good Tuesday Morning Blogger’s…I thought I would jump in on this challenge put on by Laura Venturini. I love music and it’s a great way to start the day. I hope you enjoy my choices.
1. Post a video of a song that makes you think about being a teenager.
OMG this is probably my favorite song and yes it’s from back in the day. This is the song I fell in love with my husband ❤ ..Yes I was just 16 years old, but when we would be driving around in his car (he was a college boy at Northwestern, and I was still in high school) this song would come on over the radio he would start singing. I would just melt. I really loved the way he sang !! He didn’t know I was watching him sing b/c I had to act mature, not like the giddy little teeny bopper still in high school that I was 😉 …
2. Post a video of a song that is about finding your voice.
This is a song where I think was about finding my voice, so I think it will count. Being Catholic and going to Catholic school and attending church everyday, singing in the choir at mass this is a song that was absolutely one of my favorites. Harry Chapin wrote this song, “Mr. Tanner,” featuring the song I’m talking about, “O Holy Night.”
A quick story about Harry Chapin. My husband attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL (A suburb in Chicago). When we were dating we use to go to all the concerts they put on at the school. We saw quite a few epic musicians, one of which was Harry Chapin. The concerts were very good as they were at a small venue which made them very intimate and personal. I remember at this concert we attended with the amazing Harry Chapin. He asked for a few people from the audience to come up on stage with him and sing. Loving music the way I do, I pushed the husband (who was then just the boyfriend at the time) to go up on stage and sing with him. They helped him sing one of his songs that really put his name on the charts, “Taxi.” I even got a kiss from him after the concert, very cool 😉 . Another great talent, gone too soon.
3. Post a video of a song that represents an “I’ll kick your ass” attitude.
I really love this guy. He’s a great American who loves this country. Went to a concert in Vegas with him !!! A great, great show.
There you have it, my songs for the Weekly Challenge. Hope your week is going good…Happy Tuesday, Blogger’s 🙂 .
