Song Lyric Sunday – Ocean/Sea/Lake/Bay

Good Sunday Morning blogger’s.  It’s Super Bowl Sunday and Song Lyric Sunday.  Today’s prompts are Ocean/Sea/Lake/Bay…Good prompts as it proved to me something I have always known.  That me and the husband share a brain.  Right after I told him what the prompts were, we both started singing in unison the song for today “Sitting by the Dock of the Bay.”

(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay
Sittin’ in the mornin’ sun
I’ll be sittin’ when the evenin’ comes
Watchin’ the ships roll in
Then I watch ’em roll away again
I’m sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Watchin’ the tide, roll away
I’m sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Wastin’ time
I left my home in Georgia
And I headed for the Frisco Bay
‘Cause I’ve got nothin’ to live for
Looks like nothin’s gonna come my way, so
I’m just come sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Watchin’ the tide roll away
I’m sittin’ on the dock of the bay, wastin’ time
Looks like nothin’s gonna change
Everything seems to stay the same
I can’t do what ten people tell me to do
So I guess I’ll remain the same
Here’s the link to follow for Song Lyric Sunday…
And that would by Jim again.  Hi Jim
The menu for Super Bowl Sunday is my Zesty Sloppy Joes and my Potato Pockets, which are soooo good.  Then for dessert I made my Cookies & Cream Cheese Football so now on with an afternoon of food and fun with the husband.
Thank goodness we made it through January !!!  Was a very cold week last week but I got two extra days with the love of my life stuck inside together… ❤

  1. I’m surprised someone didn’t use this earlier. It’s a classic. Maybe everyone is starting to think like I do, try to pick something relatively obscure.

  2. I get happy every time I hear this song, as it’s set by the water but it also includes the pondering that goes on while sitting there “wasting time”.
