AtoZChallenge…M is for The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance

I started the AtoZChallenge in 2016 with a generic plan of AtoZ, as I was new to the blogosphere and had so much to learn.  I met many new friends and learned much about blogging.  Very great experience.  For the  2017 AtoZChallenge I thought I would step out of the box and do the challenge with a theme. I have a love of Hockey and our Chicago Blackhawks were headed for the playoffs again.  The timing of that theme would be spot on.   I grew my blog and continued learning about blogging and Hockey.  So begins the 2018 AtoZChallenge and my theme this year is Quotes made famous by the movies.  I hope you are enjoying this as much as I am enjoying writing and researching.

Happy Saturday AtoZChallenger’s…Today my movie is definitely one of the classics.  I know I love watching it.  A John Ford/John Wayne western and both of those names are synonymous with great westerns !!!  Here we go, “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.”

Tom Doniphon: Liberty Valance’s the toughest man south of the Picketwire – next to me.

Ransom Stoddard: You’re not going to use the story, Mr. Scott?
Maxwell Scott: This is the west, sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

Jason Tully: Nothing’s too good for the man who shot Liberty Valance.

I think this is my favorite scene in the whole movie, but you should go watch it.  This is a movie with some very classic actors and it’s a great good guy/bad guy/good guy wins.  I won’t give away the ending but that too is not what you would think…
My featured image for this blog post is a painting of a Cactus Rose, which plays a big part in the movie…The husband painted it and I’m quite sure this movie gave him the inspiration for it.  Just another reason I love him.  I’m not going to put up the link, but you can find it on the right sidebar, “Elan Creations.”
Have a great weekend and I hope the weather is better where you are than here…COLD/SNOW/RAIN & ICE/HIGH WIND WARNING and last but not least CLOUDY & NO SUN.  Really is the warm weather ever going to get here.!!!!

  1. I love the heart in the cactus that hubby painted. I don’t think I’ve seen this movie but I like “If the legend becomes fact, print the legend.”

    • Wow I’m so glad you think so. Me and the husband absolutely love John Wayne and the John Ford westerns they created. I believe they made 5 movies 🎥 together. They weren’t all Westerns but they were all classics… Thanks so much for stopping by. I have been out of commission as of late. Dental emergency 🚨 and wasn’t feeling very well. It’s better now so I’ll get back to the blogosphere. I love reading 📖 your stories. Me and the husband have had a few discussions about them and he explains a lot to me. He’s got a polo-sci degree so sometimes he’s better than google…Have a great weekend 🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼
