Hello blogger’s, well this month has just flown by. I thought we were heading into fall but that would be a no with the weather we’ve been having…90’s for the last 7 days and I think I’m ready for my sweatshirt.
So at the beginning of September, I got sick. At first I thought it was just my allergies and then I thought well maybe it’s a head cold…Wrong on both counts. I think it was the flu complete with a 101 degree fever for 3 days, but I just can’t believe I got that sick this early in the season. I had to call my doctor and get on the puffer and everything. It was then hanging on forever, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. While laying in bed for that week I thought it would be good to get out of town (when I got well) and go to my other home up in the north woods. It would be perfect because it would be Cranfest and I always had wanted to go.
I have family up there so I called my Uncle and asked him if me and the husband could come up for a visit and stay with him and my Aunt Jeannie?? He has about 500 acres of wonderful, complete with the most beautiful log cabins that he built himself. It was just what I needed. Nothing like re-connecting with family that loves you and hanging out in the woods. It was grand. We drank wine and talked about everyone. I come from a rather large extended family so there were plenty of stories, if you know what I mean. But we’ll talk later about that. So come back, I’ll put up pictures of cranfest, the cabins and the land.
We got home on Sunday night and we had been planning a surprise for the husband’s birthday this week. My youngest son came up from Virginia with his girlfriend ( she is just the sweetest ) and surprised his dad for his birthday this week. Our Lizzie and granddaughter Gabriella, Connor and his girlfriend all came over late last night, rang the bell and surprise. I was so happy we pulled it off. We’ll all be doing a couple of dinner’s this week to celebrate. It’s good to be together with family. I’ll get more pictures of all the festivities later. But for now, I just wanted to reach out to all and let you know I’m still here. Blessings ❤
