Monday Musings on Twenty Random Questions

So I’m playing.  I do like the question thing these days.  It’s easy and I don’t have to think very hard.   I got it from my blogger friend Mz. Dee or LadiesWhoLunchReviews, etc

Thanks Mz. Dee see you on Friday 😉

  1. Do you have a nickname? Yes I do is all I’m going to say.  The Husband gave it to me…

  1. What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? Rocky Road/Baskin & Robbins

4.  Describe a happy childhood memory.  I’m going to pass, I can’t think of any too much water under the bridge…What was a happy memory probably was made up in my mind.  Especially after they all really screwed me over.  What goes around comes around !!!  My family never really cared too much for me.  What can I say, it’s the truth.  I’m over it really it’s their problem and they will answer for it someday.

5.    What’s your favorite meal?  Definitely lobster macaroni & cheese w/blueberry pie from a great little restaurant in Bar Harbor, ME !!!

6.Name something you cannot live without.  Michael, the husband.  My friend and the love of my life ❤

   7.  What color pants are you wearing? Dark Grey Khaki’s

   8.  Did you get good grades in school?  No I was kind of a trouble maker.  No one was watching out for me so I pretty much just raised myself which didn’t turn out the best.  What can I say, it’s the end result that matters and I rock now.  I’ve overcome so much. What do they say, “The best revenge is living well.”  Well I have made a great life for me and my family inspite of the obstacles in my past.  I’ve been married for 38 years and had 5 children.  I put 4 amazing people out into the world, and an angel in heaven.  I can say I’m a great mom, wife, and friend.  I don’t hurt people.  Those are my jewel’s in my shining crown…

  1. Any phobias?
Not really…I do have issues with anxiety though.
  1. Are you named after anyone? Pretty sure that’s a no.  I was the oops baby.  They just threw a name on the birth certificate.  I gave it character and made it come alive ❤
  1. Last time you cried and why?  Probably today.  Life is hard and I still feel bad a lot.  But I cope and I get over it and I move on.  Crying is good, not every day but it’s good.
  1. What color crayon would you be?  Green, my favorite color.

  1. What do you hear right now?  Something about Hitler that the husband is wathing on the History Channel…

  1. What’s the last movie you watched?  Grey w/Liam Neilson.  Last night, but the ending was really bad so I would not recommend it…
  1. Do you believe in reincarnation?  No
  1. What do you think is your best physical feature?  My smile.  I’ve still got my dimples and it’s really very genuine.
  1. What is your favorite curse word? It depends.
  1. Have you ever skinny-dipped before?  Yes, teenage.
  2. Do you talk to yourself? Everyday.  But I’m kind of hoping I’m talking to God and he’s listening…

20.  Do you have a favorite tv show?  My Chicago Blackhawks, but seasons over.  I’m watching Grey’s Anatomy on netflix right now.  Trying to catch up to this season, but I’m only on season 6 so I have a ways to go..

So there’s my story and I’m sticking to it.  Today has been one of the best days I’ve had in a long time.  Today I was reminded of the things that are really important.  They aren’t about how much money you have, or how cool your house is or how expensive the cars are that you drive.  Life is about how much you love the people that God put in your life.  It’s about caring and making the hard choices.  Putting other people first no matter the cost to you.  It’s about the good people in your life, friendships.  It’s about thanking God for all of his blessings, and for that I say, “Thank you to God.  You’ve always had my back ❤ ”  Blessings ❤

  1. Sorry you had a less than stellar childhood. I’m glad you found Michael and can dwell for the most part on your wonderful life now. I had a great childhood and when I hear stories like yours, it hurts. I feel even more blessed and know that I should NEVER take it for granted. My husband’s childhood was pretty bad too and he made a promise to himself to make his children’s lives better because of it. I think you have a great smile! Thanks for sharing your answers!

    • Thanks for stopping by. What’s in the past is in the past. I try not to look back because that’s not the way I’m going. My life for the past 40 years has been amazing so I think that cancels out the crap…<3

  2. Wasn’t it Charles R. Swindoll who said, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
Great post, Patti. Sending you lots of love 💚💚💚💚💚

    • Thanks for stopping by Martha. I think that’s exactly right. Living well with God’s grace, I am thankful ❤ Blessings
