#atozchallenge/’L’ is for Line

Okay I could do ‘L’ is for loss, so bummed about last nights game.  I don’t even want to talk about it but I have to remember that this is only the first game of a best of 7 game series and think positive.  The hockey god’s were not with us last night.

So let’s just stay on task and I’ll show you what a “Line” means…

In ice hockey, a line is a group of forwards that play in a group, or “shift”, during a game. A complete forward line consists of a left wing, a center, and a right wing, while a pair of defensemen who play together are called “partners.”

Line (ice hockey) – Wikipedia

Below is a pretty good youtube video of how a line works…There are 5 guys on the ice, 3 up front and 2 stay back to protect against their opponent getting a fast break.  The 2 defenseman are back by the blue line defending their ice.  The video is not an actual game, it’s just a practice.
