Song A Day/Day 2

Thank you my dear friend Mz. D. You are an amazing writer & blogger.

She tagged me for ‘a song a day’ challenge. You are a rockstar and someday I will be an awesome blogger just like you and okay already I’ll get to the point. I know, I do go on don’t I. Anyways Mz D is my lunch buddy and she is a wonderful person and I am proud to call her my friend. Go check out her blog, very funny (cheeky) and she cover’s so much. A really great writer. This is a blog that you should definitely check out and follow !!! She doesn’t disappoint… Love Ya, Mz. D ❤

The rules are to post the lyrics of a favorite song five days in a row, explain what they mean to you (if you like) and add the video if available. This is going to be fun. You might say that I sing through life. I’m sure I inherited it from my mom. She has musical DNA. Sings, plays any instrument you give her, loves symphany and opera. Well that’s what I do. My kids say I have a song for everything. Everyday, every occasion. I have just found it’s better than counting to 10, just sing…

So my song for today is ‘Hallelujah’ by Leonard Cohen, but this video is my favorite by Bon Jovi…It is probably one of my favorite songs of all time.  Me and the husband sing it all of the time.  My heart melts when he sings it ❤  I know, kind of sappy but whatever I’m in love ❤  I’m putting the video first because really you just have to hear the song.  You’ll love it !!! Enjoy

Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this: the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah [x4]
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah [x4]
Baby I’ve been here before
I’ve seen this room and I’ve walked this floor (you know)
I used to live alone before I knew you
And I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a victory march
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah [x4]
There was a time when you let me know
What’s really going on below
But now you never show that to me, do you?
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah [x4]
Maybe there’s a God above
All I’ve ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it’s not a cry that you hear at night
It’s not somebody who’s seen the light
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah [x13]
