Everyday Inspiration, Day Two: Write a List‏

I am also doing a challenge #RevofKindness.  I thought this would be a good way to start out my week of kindness to myself.  It’s a good list and I had a great start to my weekend.

I love, love, love making lists.  It’s fun and keeps me focused on what I’m suppose to be doing.  I love crossing out what I’ve got and then starting a new list…So for today I think I’ll make a list of 5 things I’m good at 😉

  1. I am a great wife, homemaker.  I have been married to the love of life for 37 years this year, so I must be doing something right.  Every home I have ever lived in, I have given it just that special feeling that only someone who really loves her family can do.  It has never been just a house to me (Rent or Own) I make it our home ❤ …
  2. I am a really great mom.  No one on the face of this earth will ever love MY children the way I have.  Total and unconditional love !!!  That’s not to say that I have never made a mistake at being a mom.  Unfortunately motherhood does not come with a handbook.  For me it comes from my heart and soul.
  3. I am also a really, really good cook.  Cooking is pretty close to a religion for me.  I can’t just throw anything together, I cook with love.  You could always tell when I didn’t (I said I’m not perfect).  It’s in the DNA.  My little Italian grandmama and mom taught me about cooking and baking.  I love it all.  They were farmer’s and pretty much everything they made, they did from scratch.  Grandmama grew her own vegetables, then canned everything for the winter. She was amazing !!!
  4. I also am very talented.  I can play the piano and I can sing.  I always loved the arts and you can tell by my kids.  I have two who are professional ballet dancer’s.  They all can play the piano.  That’s in our DNA too.
  5. I am a really great friend.  I always have a shoulder to cry on or an ear to just listen.  I will tell you what I think if you ask and I’ll be honest with you.  I will always have your back and if we have a fight (people who love each other do fight) I will fight for our relationship.  I know how to say I’m sorry.  So important in a friendship ❤ …

I thought at first this would be hard to do, but it really wasn’t.  I picked the topic of things I’m good at because I want today to be a great day and remembering who I am and what I’m good at is a great way to start out, don’t you think ??  Blessings ❤ …

  1. You sure fooled me with the conversation we had earlier! Sounds like that cup of hot cocoa served you well! 😉 I love how you assessed the week and were able to take a breather and start a new week off the way you did! If this is a sign of things to come, it looks like this week will be amazing! Can’t wait to see your post for the end of your week 1. Congratulations on the soon to be 37 years of marriage!

    • Oh thank you so much, you are so kind to say that. Yes I am married to the love of my life. He’s a great artist (not his day job) and he loves me too the moon. I forgot how much power positivity brings to your life. Thank you for reminding me. I hope my pingback’s are working. I think I’m having a bit a trouble with that. I’m sure I’ll figure it out. Blessings Niki ❤

      • You are one lucky lady Scarlett! 🙂 Amazing what the power of positive thinking does! Yes, your pingback worked! If you want it to be hidden, what you can do is highight #RevofKindness and in the post editor there’s a little chain link, click on it an paste the web address that you listed in the post to my blog. That way the link will be hidden but clickable. Either way it works, it’s just up to you how readers see it. I’ll be doing a tutorial on it soon but that’s it without the pictures for visual effect 😉

  2. It’s great to be happy with who you are. I’m twenty years in to marriage thing, there are days I hope to become deaf. Maybe that’s just me. Very well done. 😃

    • Well it’s okay to feel that way. I/we raised 5 kids and there were days I wanted to be somewhere else, believe you me. One of my favorite quotes was, “Beam me up Scotty !!” Like we say, we are just igging it out a lot of the times but also with a lot of love ❤ Blessings and thanks for visiting ❤

      • 20 years is a long time and I’m sure you have a lot of history ❤ Life can be throw a lot at you. I know me and him have been dodging and weaving a lot in our lives, but one thing that we can always count on is our love for each other !!! That will never change ❤

  3. So glad you included your good, supportive friend! Good friends are so important to our continued growth and support. I have a loving husband, awesome kitties and a pup and a super friend who is supportive no matter what. It’s so important! And, it gives us a chance to practice kindness back, don’t you think? Sounds like you have a great family, too. Good luck with week 2! http://www.dianeweidenbenner.com
