We made it to D.C

Song for the day and for your reading/listening enjoyment

We sang this one the whole way to Richmond ❤

OMG I love, love, love road trips with the husband.  We travel so good together.  Both of us are very laid back and we just go.  We are also driving Connie’s car back to him in Virginia ( you know the plane, trains and automobiles story from my previous post’s).  Then the husband had business in D.C. so I got to tag a long.  How cool is that.  We have been married for 37 years and he has done some traveling for business and this is the first time I have ever gone on a business trip with him.  It is great.  He got up early this morning and went to work and now I am having coffee, blogging and going to do whatever I want to do today,  B O O M…

We got to Richmond last night around 5 and met up with the guys, Matthew & Connor.  We also got to see Randy (D.Randall Blythe/Lead Singer of Lamb of God and Published Author of Dark Days)  Michael painted a picture for him.  I have been dying to show you but I wanted to wait till we gave it to Randy.  So we have decided I am now the Rocking Metal Momma.  How cool is that.  I also got him to autograph one of his books for me for a friend who’s husband and son are huge Lamb of God fans…We took a picture last night.  I really do love that guy for more than one reason!!!  He is a very cool dude and love, love hanging with him.

After meeting up with the guys and Randy, we continued up to D.C.  Connor drove with us to drop us off at the hotel.  Then he headed back to Richmond, so ends the saga of his first road trip, aka Planes, Trains & Automobiles Connie style.  He now has his car back, thank God I hope.  I do have to tell you I was having major anxiety thinking of him driving home from D.C. all alone.  OMG that has to be one of the worst driving areas in the world.  There were just semi’s everywhere, exits, merges, no lighting, and it was constant traffic.   And when there wasn’t it was dark and scary and deer.  Well anyone who has followed my blog knows how I feel about the driving thing !!!  I did feel a bit reassured when we were getting into D.C. because he knew where everything was so this was not his first time driving into D.C.  I suppose that is good.  I think it’s just a mom thing.  He’s my baby forever ❤  If you are reading this Connie, good job getting back safely.  You are the man, and of course I should’ve known you could handle it.  You really have grown up, haven’t you…

Today I’m going to go see the Cherry Blossoms I know for sure.  I will post more pictures of the actual road trip.  The trees were just coming alive the whole way out here.  It was magnificent, beautiful, I couldn’t take enough pictures.  I really feel blessed for being able to see it all.   I also want to thank the husband, he got us here safely again.  Thank you husband…I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend and their week (it’s Humpday) is going good.  Blessings ❤

And how cool is that picture the husband painted for Randy !!!  He absolutely loved, loved, loved it…  Still working on the website, remember it takes time.  Good things come to those who wait, all in good time ❤  Blessings, again ❤

Oh and one last thing, the planner girl’s still here.  Going to have a planning session right now in fact.  I have my on the road supplies of planner girl stuff ❤  I’ll post some of that planning session too ❤  Finally, love ya and have a great day !!!
