One week till Christmas

It’s nearly Christmas.  I’ve been busy but I wanted to post today.  Here’s one of my favorite music videos at Christmastime.  Enjoy and read on 😉

Wow, time sure does fly !!!  Well woke up really, really early for a Saturday.  I mean really early, why??  I do not know…I guess with the holidays approaching fast, I have a lot on my mind.  Well this morning when I was having coffee with the husband, I told him from now until New Year’s Eve we won’t be watching any news type programs or discussing anything that is stressful.  Such as money, work, or relationships.  It’s just not worth it.  We are going to have a really great holiday and I just want to let it rest for a couple of weeks.  It will still be here next year, so we will just worry about it then.  So for now we are just going to enjoy each other, the family, our home and all of the festivities that go along with Christmas.

I have a little bit of Christmas shopping still to do but I have the bulk of it out of the way.  The guys and us our going to have soooo much fun, yes we will.  I have a really hard time keeping surprises, but I am just going to have to.  Don’t worry, I’ll let you know.  All in good time, all in good time.  I don’t know if they read this blog.  I know they do sometimes but with Nutcracker everyday, all day I don’t really think they are following my blog 🙂

I really love this group and their music.  I just love sharing.  Enjoy for a minute, music can calm the mind and soul ❤

It has been a very good December in every sense of the word.  Weather has co-operated and I have been able to get out with the girlfriends and do some pretty fun stuff.  I have finally got all of the house stuff done.  The only thing left is the carpet cleaning and that will happen this week and then it’s done…B O O M  I can’t believe it’s all done.  I really love my little home.  I have been working on it and I have transformed it into a really warm and restful place to recharge from the world.

I am so excited to get started with the baking.  The husband bought me a new kitchenaid for my kitchen.  That thing is just the coolest.  I will be able to make my Christmas cookies this week and I am looking forward to that.  I have ordered all of the other stuff like my Shrimp Cocktail Tray and Cheddar Bay Biscuits from Red Lobster.  I’m going to be trying some new stuff too, but the guys like what they like so I’ll probably just stick with what they like.  I also got them the Chocolate Cake from Portillo’s.  So good ❤

I am also looking forward to the new year.  I have some new planners on order and I’m going to be getting ready for the new year with all of my supplies.  I have a lot I want to get accomplished in the coming months and remember, “Failing to plan is a plan to fail.”  So I’m going to get busy and start planning from getting my editorial calendar going for my Blog’s, to re-doing the office downstairs.  2016 will fly by just like all the past years so I’m going to, “Write it down, Make it happen!!”

Make sure you watch for my new blog, name to follow.  I will be using the blog to market the husband’s beautiful artwork.  Oh and I also bought a laminator today for my planning sessions.  Yesterday I said I have to figure out a way to consolidate my cute, adorable little notes and as I was walking through Staples and I had my, “Ah Ha” moment.  A lamintor to fuse them all together and make a card out of them, voila 🙂

So that’s what I’ve been up to fellow blogger’s.  I’m also working on a poem for Christmas.  I hope I have it finished by then.  It’s just a fun thing to do, it’s like playing with the words in my world.  If I get it finished, I’ll post it maybe on Christmas/Christmas Eve.

And remember life is too short to be anything but happy.  I’m sure all of us have something that is making us sad around the holiday’s.  Just let it go for awhile and have the best Christmas ever.  Don’t think about the things or the people that are making you sad.  Remember what Dr. Suess said, “Those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter.”  Keep those who love you close.  They will help you get through whatever.  Blessing and remember I love ya ❤
