We were sitting next to Paulie (Paul Konerko/former Chicago White Sox) and we got a picture with him on the day that they retired his number !!! It was game #4 vs. the Anaheim Ducks !! How cool, on the glass, next to Paulie
Well last year was not a banner year for my family. It was an extremely challenging year to say the least. But we are, “The Frain’s,” and we deal with the hand that is dealt. We are a strong family, with an awesome, “Leader of the Band !!” We make choices. Those choices are meant to love and support our family. We try to stay true to our values which include God (first and forever), commitment to our family and then ourselves.
Sometimes it doesn’t go like that, as I am sure everyone knows. Life just happens and when it does we just start, “Igging It Out ❤ ” That is what we call it and most of the time it can get pretty ugly. But then there is God who is always with us and I know that there is something bigger out there and larger than my little problems. He is setting the table for me and the ones I love and I just have to have faith in that.
Well he gave me a distractions from all of the drama last year. That is what I call them. I guess you could call them blessings too. The first one was the Chicago Blackhawks. It all started out with the Winter Classic in Washington D.C. It was an outdoor hockey game and the weather was beautiful, sunny and 60’s on January 1. The Chicago Blackhawks vs. the Washington Capitals, who still have not won a Stanley Cup Bahaaahhaahhhahhhahhha 🙂 I know, grow up. I just can’t pass it up those stupid Capital fan’s who hit us in the head during the game. No really, they actually bopped us on top of the head, stupid Capital fans !!!
So we made some great memories for a brand new year, 2015. I really needed to make some new memories and once again God has been there making it possible. Just when you think you can’t take another step, you take another step and then another one and you are walking forward. Everything is going to be good. Just remember it is just a moment in time, and nothing lasts forever. Change is our only constant.
So for the start of 2015, it was all good and I had my awesome guys with me to celebrate at what else a hockey game but not just a hockey game, T H E W I N T E R C L A S S I C. So I really felt that it was going to be a good year. It has been a really good year for the Chicago Blackhawks. They won the Stanley Cup and we were with them all the way. We went to a lot of games and 2 playoff games.
We are going to get a family picture in our Blackhawk sweater’s (jerseys). We all think that would be an appropriate way to end the season. Here are a few more pictures of us watching the game on the night they brought Lord Stanley back to Chicago. I really love those guys and I’ll never forget this season ❤ B O O M
